The Starzen Group does not provide personal information to any third party without obtaining the data subject’s consent in advance, except in the following cases:

  • cases in which there is a need to protect the life, wellbeing, or property of an individual and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the data subject;
  • cases in which there is a special need to improve public wellbeing or promote healthy child development and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the data subject;

Starzen Group may share the personal information it receives from customers within the following scope:

    The Company and affiliated companies listed in the Company’s annual report.

(4) Entrustment of the Handling of Personal Information

Starzen Group may entrust the handling of personal information to third parties within the scope of the purposes of use stated in (1) above. If we entrust the handling of personal information to a third party, we carry out a strict investigation regarding the protection of personal information by the third party, implement a confidentiality agreement, and supervise the third party as appropriate.

5. Procedures for Requesting Notification of Purpose of Use or Disclosure, etc.

In accordance with the “Act on the Protection of Personal Information”, where we receive a request for notification regarding the purpose of use of personal data that Starzen Group hold or a request for disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, erasure or suspension of provision to a third party, etc. of such personal data, we will, upon verifying the identity of the data subject or his/her representative in advance, promptly respond in accordance with laws/regulations and with following the procedures bellow:

    After checking the above documents, we will send you a written response by postal mail.
  3. Where We Cannot Respond Your Request
    In such events as prescribed below, we may not be able to respond to your request , in which case we will notify you with the reasons:
    • where we cannot confirm that the request for disclosure is made from the data subject himself/herself;
    • where the prescribed request form is incomplete;
    • where the requested information does not fall under the category of “Retained Personal Data”;
    • where the handling fee is insufficient or not enclosed;
    • where the power of representation cannot be verified for a request by a representative; or
    • where there is a reason stipulated in laws and regulations.
